How to do a Drug Test Kit
Doing your own self-test is always a good starting point when it comes to figuring out which route to take next. We definitely offer a variety of options depending on your time and situation.

There is an estimated time frame for how long certain substances linger in your system. The best way to ensure you are clean is to use a self-test. We carry a variety of different tests for different substances.
If you decided to check with an at-home drug test before the official one, there are a few things you should keep in mind:
-
Use first-morning pee for an honest result. You can rig the test a bit if you use it later in the day, but why would you do that
-
Test with fresh urine. Some people store their sample (yeah gross), but that will most certainly give you an inaccurate result
-
Make sure to dip the test strip or card exactly to the marked line. Antigens in immunoassay tests (all home tests) are super sensitive, so it's important not to "drown" it
-
After dipping (10 to 15 seconds), lay it flat on a clean and dry surface and wait for the time marked in the instructions (5 to 10 minutes usually). Reading the test too late or too early will not work as well
-
If the C line doesn't show, discard the test right away. This can happen due to various reasons, but your best bet is to check the expiration date on the box
-
If the T line appears (yes, even a faint line) it means it's a negative for the given cutoff
Once you have your test, it takes about 5 minutes (or 10, depending on the test) to get the results. Using a self-test ensures you will go in with confidence and that no hiccups happen along the way.
Make sure you always use a clean cup and wait for the "negative" line to show up. It takes about 5 minutes, and the shade line can vary, but it is considered a pass even if there is a faint line.
