Spring has finally sprung in our parts and we can’t be happier to see all the greenery around everywhere. With the sun shining and Canada’s birthday right around the corner, now is the perfect time to get some plants going… after all we are all allowed 4 recreational cannabis plants now. So, if you have been thinking about it, now is definitely the time.
First things first before you just jump right in, we recommend getting all the right tools before you start. You will probably have to take a trip to the good old “garden center” when you are ready to get started. In the meantime, come by and get some papers and maybe a new piece while you wait for your beauties to do their thing.
To get you started on the right foot and feeling confident, we recommend you pick up The Cannabis Grow Bible 3rd edition by Greg Green. This book contains over 700 pages, with all new photos and step-by-step guides to every aspect of marijuana horticulture, plant breeding, and hash production. Featuring a handy quick start guide at the beginning to allow growers to get started right away and hone their techniques as they read the later chapters in more detail. To sum it up it covers everything you need to know whether if you’re a novice or super experienced grower.
Once you got your ladies on the go, a couple of other tools to consider are the 420 Scope, Humidity Packs and Storage Containers. You can use things you got around your house that will do the trick, but these items will ensure you are harvesting at the right time and that nothing bad happens to all your hard work of growing and harvesting.
The 420 Scope is used to inspect your herb for quality and potency. Not to mention it’s just super cool to look at your nugs in 60-75x magnification. Looking at your trichomes is super important so you know when it’s just the right time to cut your plant down to hang.
